The call for applications is open for the first SCRIPTS Digital Autumn School (DAS), themed “How to apply to Grad School in Social Sciences” from 15 Nov to 07 Dec 2022. [Extended] deadline for applications: 02 Nov 2022, 2 pm CET.

For many aspiring scholars, applying to graduate school is the start of an international career in academia. However, writing a convincing application is an art that must be learned. This is what the DAS aims to support with. It will prepare 20 successful applicants for any social sciences grad school. The SCRIPTS DAS is aimed at young scholars from structurally disadvantaged regions, who often do not have the same training when it comes to writing applications for graduate schools.

The programme for 12 consecutive days and contains work on developing an exposé (research proposal) and feedback from a coach. Additionally, participants will get an introduction to the German academic system. To accommodate candidates from all regions in the world, the SCRIPTS DAS will be held in two tracks (morning and afternoon Berlin time) and fully online.
