Supervision

Doctoral fellows are usually supervised by a team of 2-3 professors. At least one of them, usually the first supervisor, has to be a member of the Graduate School. The modalities of supervision are regulated by formalised supervision agreements, which are set up at the beginning of the programme. The agreements included regular consultations and feedback, and detail your and your supervisors’ duties and responsibilities. The supervision also includes yearly reports on the status of your PhD project, which are reviewed by your supervisors.

Currently, your supervisors are also the reviewers of your dissertation. In the near future, it will be possible to have external professors to review your dissertation.

You can choose an external supervisor from another university as a third supervisor. It is also possible to do a cotutelle with other universities.
