Critical Approaches to Research Ethics – Navigating Volatile Contexts (2 Parts, 20.5. and 17.06.2026, 9.00-12.00 at HU or Zoom)
This PhD workshop will provide a safe space for reflection, exchange and exposure to decolonial-feminist approaches to research ethics and allow for a participant-centered approach to discuss research work in the making as well as work in progress. Conducted in hybrid mode, it will provide in part 1 an introduction and reading-discussion groups on key themes, dimensions and spaces of research ethical navigations in volatile contexts. Part 2 will allow for parallel training inputs from our diverse group of research ethics trainers alongside an open mentoring space to discuss own concerns. Participants will be invited to engage with key texts as well as develop their own research ethical mapping along with tandem peer review support among those participating and guidance from our diverse faculty team.
