Dr. Nadja Danilenko completed her doctoral thesis “Picturing the Islamicate World in the Tenth Century. The Story of al-Iṣṭaḫrī’s Book of Routes and Realms” in Islamic Studies at Freie Universität Berlin in April 2018. Her research focuses on the history of cartography and the history of knowledge, with a special focus on manuscript studies.
