Doctoral Students' Blog

The blog gives a vivid insight into the areas of research being undertaken by doctoral students at the BGSMCS. Accounts of daily life as a PhD student in Berlin are just as relevant as reports from the field. Individual perspectives play a critical role – these are the product of day-to-day experiences in various parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe. The blog reflects the sometimes huge challenges faced by researchers on a variety of levels ranging from the personal to the ethical, political, and aesthetic. We combine the familiar with the unknown, adopt standpoints, and discuss controversial and alternative news. In addition, we offer individual views of current publications and activities such as exhibitions, conferences, and meetings.
